Welcome to Pipe 2000

Over 15 Years of Supplying Pre-Insulated Pipe Systems

“Future proofing Heat networks (i.e., the infrastructure that transports the heat), are technology agnostic and able to transport heat irrespective of the method of generation, they therefore constitute a future-proofed heat distribution framework that can service evolving low carbon generation technologies.”

Applications

Heating Source

Heating source

The great thing about district and community heating networks is that they work with so many heat sources: remote, high efficiency gas boilers, CHP, biomass, energy from waste, geothermal, GSHP, ASHP, solar thermal. All these can provide a source of warm water to heat houses, commercial and industrial buildings. A growing trend worldwide is also to use pre-insulated pipes in district cooling networks. Why? It’s more cost effective and more sustainable.

Simple Connectivity

Simple connectivity

We mostly supply flexible pipes in long coil lengths. So in simple schemes, underground joints can be avoided. When joints, bends and tees are required, we recommend the use of well-proven mechanical press fittings. These exploit the “memory effect” of PE-X to form the watertight seal. The tools required may be hired form us or some hire shops.

Flexibility

Flexibility

The majority of pipes we offer are supplied as coils in the optimum length for your project. Compared to rigid pipes, fewer underground joints are required and installation is simpler and can dramatically reduce the time taken. The need for working inside the trench is reduced and narrower trenches are required. Where the natural bend radius of the coiled pipe cannot meet the requirements e.g. for building entries, we offer factory-made, pre-insulated house entry bends.
