GRAPHIC: BENEFITS TITLE

Underfloor Heating has proven itself to be comfortable, reliable in operation and a good-value solution to heating modern buildings.

As the maintenance-free pipe work is included in the floor construction, the usual constraints imposed by radiators disappear. Space within the room is freed up for people, furnishings or equipment.

Using timers and programmers to control room thermostats and manifold circuit actuators, the UFH system can be set to meet the requirements of occupants of individual rooms or zones.

  • Our warm water underfloor heating uses PEX pipe and provides a long-life, economical solution to heating most types of building

  • The high radiant component and the temperature gradient of the heat output provides a comfortable, warm environment for the occupants of the building

  • Apart from the manifolds (which are generally located in an unobtrusive place) and the room thermostats, the UFH system is invisible. This maximises the room space available and offers flexibility for interior design.

  • In public buildings, the absence of visible heat emitters eliminates the risk of damage due to accident or vandalism

  • The low operating temperature of warm water UFH (generally 45°c - 50°c degree with a 10°c drop) means that UFH allows condensing boilers to operate in their most efficient mode

  • The heating systems can be controlled using timers/programmers and individual rooms can each have their own room thermostat

  • The PEX pipework is maintenance-free and is not affected by corrosion inhibitors which may be present in the heating system

  • Underfloor Heating can be used in conjunction with radiators - in fact it is quite common. Both systems can be fed from the same heat source but the UFH requires a pump and mixing valve set to reduce the flow temperature
